Terms of Service
Last updated: August 5, 2026
The short version: Use SwipeDish to plan meals with your partner, be respectful, and remember the app helps you decide what to eat but you are responsible for what you cook and eat, especially around allergies.
1. Agreement
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Mehmet Canhoroz ("we", "us"), the operator of SwipeDish ("the app"). By creating an account or using the app or this website, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
2. Who can use the app
You must be at least 16 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country) to use SwipeDish. By using it, you confirm that you meet this requirement and that the information you give us is accurate.
3. Your account
- You sign in with your email and a one-time code. Keep access to your email secure, since anyone with it can sign in as you.
- You are responsible for the activity on your account.
- Tell us at [email protected] if you think your account has been used without your permission.
4. Your shared space
SwipeDish is built for two people to share one space. When you join a space, the other member can see the shared content of that space, such as matched dishes, the joint shopping list, and the meal history. Only share a space with someone you trust. You are responsible for the content you add to your space.
5. Acceptable use
When using SwipeDish, you agree not to:
- Break the law or infringe anyone's rights.
- Try to access accounts, spaces, or data that are not yours.
- Interfere with, overload, or attempt to disrupt the service.
- Reverse engineer, scrape, or misuse the app except as the law allows.
- Upload content that is harmful, abusive, or unlawful.
6. Food, recipes, and allergies
SwipeDish helps you decide what to eat and suggests dishes, ingredients, and cooking steps for convenience. It is not professional, medical, nutritional, or dietary advice.
- Always check ingredients and labels yourself, especially if you or anyone you cook for has an allergy or intolerance.
- Dietary tags and "hard-no" ingredient filters are a convenience and may not catch every case. Do not rely on them as the only safeguard.
- You are responsible for safe food handling, preparation, and any choices you make about what to cook or eat.
7. Our content
The app, its name, logo, design, and the dish and cuisine content we provide are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app for your own meal planning. You keep ownership of the content you create, such as your preferences and history, and you give us the permission needed to operate the service for you.
8. Availability and changes
We work to keep SwipeDish available, but we do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may add, change, or remove features, and we may update these Terms. When we make a material change to the Terms, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
9. Disclaimers
The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the app will meet your needs or that suggestions, recipes, or shopping lists will be accurate or complete.
10. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or your statutory consumer rights, which remain unaffected.
11. Termination
You can stop using SwipeDish and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you break these Terms or misuse the service. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (such as our content rights, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) will continue to apply.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Türkiye, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Where you are a consumer, you keep the benefit of any mandatory protections of the country where you live, and you may be able to bring proceedings there. We will always try to resolve any issue with you directly first, so please contact us.
